Kris Obaze: Plea for Support to Rebuild My Life and Start a Small Business
Dear Sir/ma
My name is Kris Obaze, and I am reaching out to share my story and humbly seek assistance to rebuild my life and provide for my two children.
I returned to Nigeria from the United States in 2013 and secured an offshore job where I worked diligently for seven years. During this period, I got married and had two children, a boy age 10 and a girl age 8.. In 2021, the company I worked for relocated to Angola. With the savings I had accumulated, I invested in a car for transport business to sustain my family.
Unfortunately, after about a year and four months — in 2023 — the car was stolen, and I found myself without a source of income. Despite my efforts to secure another offshore job, I was unable to find one due to lack of connections in the industry.
I later relocated to Port Harcourt, hoping for new opportunities. Sadly, in 2024, my wife left me and our two kids, leaving me as the sole caregiver. Since then, it has been extremely difficult to make ends meet.
I am currently unemployed but eager to work or start a small business to support my children. I am a good cook and once worked as a cook while in the United States. I am passionate about starting a restaurant or a small-scale food business such as drying and packaging plantain chips and other snacks for sale. With some financial assistance or employment opportunity, I am confident I can rebuild my life and secure a better future for my children.
I would be deeply grateful for any help, job opportunity, or financial support that can help me stand on my feet again.
